No. The tag only carries the QR code. QRfound emails you when a finder submits the form.

A keyring disappears on the bus, at the office or at the playground. A QRfound tag lets an honest finder reach you without your name, phone number or address sitting on the metal.
Why a QR code beats a name tag
Many tags show a phone number in plain text. Anyone who picks up the keys can read it, even if they have no intention of returning them. QRfound shows a plain page: something is missing, please leave a short message.
Your contact details stay with you. You receive name, place and contact details by email only after someone submits the form and agrees to storage. The finder does not see those details beforehand.
No app and no particular phone
A camera is enough. iPhone, Android or an older smartphone with a browser – nothing has to be installed. The code needs no battery and no signal. The finder does need internet to open the page and send the message.
Without a connection they can see the code but not load the page. The same sticker works as soon as they are online again. You do not reload anything.
How the code gets onto the ring
Register, create an item called keys and print the QR code. Stick it on a small tag, laminate it or slip it into a clear sleeve on the ring. The finder just has to be able to spot the code.
A key icon on the found page shows what the item is, without private details. You can later mark the status as lost or active again.
What it costs
The first 3 items are free. An extra pack contains 10 items for 5.00 € and lasts 1 year. You can try it with a keyring without a subscription. A bag, bike or suitcase can be another item in the same account.

Does the finder need an app?
No. The camera opens the page in the browser.
Does it work if the keys are abroad?
Yes, as soon as the finder has an internet connection. The sticker is not tied to one country or network.
